The drunks and the drongo’s all congregate for the daily ritual, they call it going for a drink, I call it mass sedation. A little sad when you take the higher moral, ‘daily mail’ ground, normal when you don’t know where to begin on a hidden route into what is termed normal.
The easy way out, or simply the cleverest thing to do when faced with a society who puts up a paper wall to shield them from what is different.
How many Doctors or Lawyers did I meet tonight, or were they just drunks, dumbfounded by the cards they were dealt and the options before them. Life is not what you make of it if you are not the maketh, life is just a thing, to ignore and pass off as something you were never involved in.
What would society be without the guidance and love these lucky individuals received, so that they could grow and prosper and become the future leaders of this fine nation. I know the answer and it would make my Friday’s a lot more tiresome. There is only one place for such people and it is as far away from me and where I drink as possible. So here’s to you, the over privileged and under-developed, and to you the could be would be high achievers that never got shown the way, I know who I’d prefer to talk to in the toilets.
